The Fujifilm G617 has to be shot on a tripod. This is something I do not do – I love to go around town with a tiny camera and just shoot. Tripod sounds so… professional, and slow. As a result, I do not do night photography, though I do enjoy looking at people’s pictures shot at night. Shooting the G617 gave me a chance to do night photography, and being in Portland, neon lights are everywhere. I have decided to shoot a roll of Cinestill 800T film (4 shots) at four famous local (mostly independent) theaters. That’s the project, and here are the results.
I do love the results, though I don’t think any of these are spectacular or worthy to be printed. I should try to shoot more at night though, maybe a goal in 2024?
